Beautiful watch
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I saw Invicta watches on that Shopxxx show on tv for quite some time and always admired the look and style of some of the models shown. I did a lot of research on the internet and one of the models everyone seemed to rave about was the 8926. The reviews were mostly positive but there were complaints about watches received with the hands falling off under the crystal, stopping after a few days and poor customer service overall from Invicta. After viewing information on the forums the people who owned in some cases eight Invicta watches all agreed that you got a lot of watch for the money. Even though I was skeptical about their quality I ordered the 8926 from Amazon. I waited to write this review until I had actually worn the watch for a week, at work and at home as well to see how well it performed in every day use. First off I couldn't beat the price from Amazon anywhere on the internet, even cheaper yet with free shipping. When the watch arrived it came in the traditional Invicta yellow cheese box. The pictures on line do not do the watch justice. The stainless steel case and bracelet are polished and flawless, the center of each link has a smooth polished finish and the sides have a brushed finish. This particular watch has a mineral crystal on the face and the back so you can see the main spring and auto winding rotor. You can wind it as well. I took out some links to fit it to my wrist, wound it up as suggested in the manual and set it and to my surprise the Miyota 21 jewel movement has not missed a beat in over six days, by far accurate enough for me. I work in a health club and during the course of the day banged it more than a few times loading a washer up right on the crystal. After checking, not a scratch and it didn't lose a second. There were some negative reviews on the Amazon site from people who bought the 8926 but in my experience I didn't have any of the problems they described. So far this is one solid, classy looking watch. Just taking it off of your wrist, turning it over and watching the thing tick away through the crystal on the back is a blast. So far so good, and if you are into an automatic watch ( it winds itself with the swinging motion of your arm ) this could be the one for you.

Unreliabe watch
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This is a beautiful watch, and I would have given it a five star rating if it had not been for the following: it was purchased about two years ago. I only wear it during overseas or hunting trips. It has been in actual use no more than ten weeks. About two weeks ago, the last time I wore it, it stopped working, reset the time several times and each time it just stopped working. In contrast I have had another automatic watch of another brand for over twenty years and it has never had this problem.

good looking
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Good looking watch but if you don't wear it enough each day, it's dead and must be reset. Battery watches for me from now on.

invicta 4470 - only swiss made swiss automatic
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
i ordered the invicta 4470 and it got delivered by amazon within two days. i got it under the black friday deal for under 230. this is the only swiss made, swiss automatic under 450 from invicta. the 9937 has a swiss movement but is not swiss made. the other option is to go for a wenger's terragraph which has an eta 2824 movement (this one has a sellita sw200 movement) but does not look as good.

the watch looks impressive and the brown bezel with white 'wave' dial looks very handsome. the strap is a little big for me and i need to get it adjusted. so far its tracking my cellphone very well and it was able to maintain its ticking through at least 8 hours. need to give it additional time to decide on its accuracy.

Update after 10 days:
Now that I have had this watch for 10 days, I can comment on its accuracy a bit more. The watch has gained about 30s in a 7 day period which is about 4-5 seconds per day. Not chronometer standards, but pretty darn close. My date advancement works just fine (except have to watch out for months with fewer than 31 days and manually adjust). I took the watch to a local jeweler and got the strap adjusted for $5. Love it and highly recommend.

Not accurate for navigation
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I've had 2 Invicta's for about 18 months. Good looking watch but... It's impossible to set / stop the second hand in order to sychronize it with the US Naval Observatory time. Just as bad it gains 5 minutes a week at a constant rate. This review applies to both of my Invictas.

Looks good, but...
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Let me start by saying that overall I like the watch. For the price I paid it's not a bad deal, but I wouldn't have paid even $300 without feeling ripped off.

And let me just state unequivocally that Amazon has the best customer service I've ever experienced from a retailer of their size. I couldn't have been more happy with my experience shopping with Amazon.

Ok, back to the watch...

Good:
Appropriately large - fits my large hands nicely without looking comically large.
Nicely packaged.
Nice detail work on the watch - looks well made and gets lots of compliments.

Bad:
The date ring doesn't advance on its own - I have to manually advance it every day.
So far it's running quite fast - I have to reset it each morning. I'm hoping it settles down with time.

At the $225 I paid it's a nice-looking and solid watch, but don't expect too much. The MSRP is pure fantasy, but for a swiss movement in a nice looking package, it's a decent choice. The only letdown aesthetically is the plastic ring holding the movement...not so classy.

Overall I like it and if you can put up with its shortcomings, it's a great deal.

Report Card for the Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Swiss Automatic Watch 4470
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I am totally happy with the savings and service from Amazon.com for this wristwatch. The only down-point of this watch is, much to my disappointment for a USD $1295 retailed Swiss watch, the accuracy. I conducted 2 calibrations on the 7th, and yesterday the 8th of December 2009. I opened my internet calibrated clock on the computer and set my watch exactly to the second. The first check was approximately 24 hours later on the 8th and the second tonight, the 9th. End observation is the watch is 20 seconds fast on both tests... If you decide to own this same watch, please note, it is indeed a lovely watch and very unique, but not reliable as a timekeeper - your results may vary. Here are also some facts not listed in on this website. The movement is a Caliber 11 1/2 SW 200-1 manufactured by Sellita Watch Co. SA, Crêt du Locle 11, CH-2301 La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Tel.: +41 (0)32 967 99 67, Fax: +41 (0)32 967 99 60. I have not yet received information from Invicta where my watch was assembled - It should be in Switzerland because my watch boasts "Swiss Made" on its dial - meaning made in Switzerland, and not "Swiss Movement". The size, workmanship and identification of the Invicta brand is quite distinctive. The dial is lovely and the "brown" bezel is actually a deep and rich Starbuck's coffee colour, such as aged mohogany or burnt sienna wood. I am very demanding and yet very forgiving it seems ...

So far, so good!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Arrived ready to hang on the wall. We're pleased with the look and getting a lot of fun out of it. Just a little concerned the backing behind the actual dart board may eventually pull from the wood frame.
A great gift for the "tween" set.

Excellent Value
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This was a Christmas present for my son-in-law. I always replenish his supply at Christmas. This was the best value I have found for a while. This set contained 2.4 more ozs. of the edt plus the after shave for only $6 more than others I priced. The shipping was timely and arrived in perfect condition.
